Farm + Armageddon = Farmageddon

Farmageddon is a farming action game about trying to make enough money to move on to the next level (highly inspired by the goat game Insaniquarium). You start small, do farm work, survive trouble, and keep expanding as each level gets busier and less peaceful.

You play as a farmer with a little helper named Chicky by your side. Plant crops, care for animals, collect drops, sell your goods, and try not to let the farm fall apart while the game keeps escalating.

This game was made for an individual Game Development course game jam at my university.

Controls

• Move: W A S D or Arrow Keys
• Interact / Sell: E
• Run: Shift
• Attack: J or Left Mouse Button
• Roll: K or Right Mouse Button
• Drop item: Q
• Shop: Tab or Hover with Mouse
• Pause: Esc

Level Progression

• Level 1: Tutorial level. You start with only 2 seed types and goblins.
• Level 2: The map gets bigger, new seeds appear, fertilizer is added, cows and chickens arrive, crow enemies start causing problems, and forage items begin appearing.
• Level 3: You can hire helpers now, but you also have to buy tiles before planting. Farming is still farming, but now it has paperwork.
• Level 4: The map expands again, night time begins, enemies spawn more frequently, crops grow more slowly, and stronger enemies appear that only care about hunting you down.

Diversifiers

• D112 - Farm: Obviously. The whole game is farming-related.
• D76 - Trade Offer: The game includes an in-game currency and a real economy system, not just score.
• D58 - VOY@GER: The game scale increases as you progress, and each level unlocks something new.
